‘Greeva’ means neck & ‘Basti’ here means building a dam-like structure that holds oil. Greeva Basti helps relax muscle cramps near the neck, and release stiff neck muscles. Here, an external thoraco-cervical treatment is done with specific Ayurvedic medicinal oils followed by a neck, upper back & shoulder massage. The pool of warm herbal on the neck & back helps calm painful tissues & reduce tension in the para spinal area. It relieves chronic headaches, migraines, and severe neck stiffness.
